Running, Walking, and Cycling Paths
Miles upon miles of multi use paths sprawl throughout McCormick Ranch. Whether you are walking your dogs, riding your bike with your kids, or training for a marathon, you'll always be close to the Greenbelt. Most houses are 1/2 mile or less away from the paths making for very easy access.
Fishing
There are 10 lakes in McCormick Ranch, four of which are stocked with fish. You can catch Bass, Bluegill, and even a catfish. Bass and bluegill are stocked twice a year. All lakes are catch and release only and you must have a fishing permit from the McCormick Ranch Property Owner's Association.
Parks and Playgrounds

There are three parks inside the community.

Comanche Park and Shoshone Park are in the southern section. You'll find playgrounds, basketball courts, and ramadas at both. Comanche Park also has two lighted tennis courts and an exercise path.

Mountain View Park is the largest park in McCormick Ranch and is in the northern section. At 30 acres large, you'll find playgrounds, basketball courts, tennis courts, 3 soccer fields, an exercise path, and lots of open spaces. There is also a community center with drop-in after school care and classes and events.
Golf
Golf is a staple part of Arizona and McCormick Ranch is no different. The McCormick Ranch Golf Club is open to the public and is right in the heart of the community. You can play the two separate 18 hole courses year round.
The Mustang Library
Besides the usual thousands upon thousands of books, the Mustang Library has free classes. These include topics ranging from finances through Toddler and Parent boogie time. Find study rooms, public access computers, and more.
Bird Watching
Many fascinating birds flock to the area simply due to the lakes. Find Great Blue Herons, Egrets, Black Crowned Night Herons. Visit during the winter sunrise and you'll find hundreds of Canadian Geese. Even bald eagles have been known in the trees around the lakes, ready to dive in for a fishy treat!
