Schools are almost out, the holidays are fast approaching, and most of us are in full chaos mode. This weekend, find a way to slow down and enjoy a few calmer moments before the true madness starts!
There are two free events going on, both of which are right across the street from one another.
On Friday, December 21st, The Scottsdale Quarter is hosting it's final free movie. Starting at 6 pm in the Quad, Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas will be playing. It's a classic way to spend a Friday night!
On Saturday, December 22nd, stop by Kierland Commons and listen to a free concern by the Margarita Villains. They will be performing between 3-6 pm.
The weather forecast is looking perfect so go out and enjoy yourselves!
The McCormick-Stillman Train park is obviously one of the Scottsdale staples. We have all driven by it numerous times and ridden the train and carousel with our kids or grandkids (or nephews, nieces, friends and everyone else!). This time of year it transforms even further into a winter spectacle.
The train is routed in reverse and drives through various holiday lights and themes. From a penguin encounter, jumping reindeer, and a huge Christmas Tree. Thousands of lights shine bright and glow throughout the ride.
Santa will also be visiting the historic Maricopa depot every night from 6:30-9 pm through December 23rd.
Tickets are $5 for the train ride, $2 for the carousel, and an optional $15 for the FastPass.
In previous years, the line gets long quickly. So, I'd recommend getting there early.
Please go to McCormick-Stillman's website for more information.
I'd like to give a special congratulations to my buyers of 10416 N 82nd Place in Tierra del Norte. This beautiful home sits right on the Greenbelt in northern McCormick Ranch. It will surely be one where you can create many memories!
