Starting now is another one of the largest events in the Scottsdale area. The Waste Management Phoenix Open is a giant party. Apparently there is a little bit of golf going on in the background but nobody has ever been able to confirm that one way or another.
Monday and Tuesday were practice rounds solely for the PGA Pros.
Wednesday is the Pro-Am featuring celebrities.
The real tournament starts on Thursday and Friday.
Saturday and Sunday feature all of the pros who have made the cut.
Tickets have gone up in price this year to between $45-60 depending on the day.

We're all recovering from Barrett-Jackson (any readers here buy anything shiny?!?) and getting ready for The Open. So, this week tends to be a little quiet. One event that catches my eye is the TasteAbout Scottsdale at Kierland. I'm a fan of food festivals where you can savor numerous local restaurants and pair it with beers, wines, and cocktails.
TasteAbout Scottsdale at Kierland Commons is this Saturday from 2-9 pm. This is one of the longer food and wine festivals I've seen (so exercise caution and pace yourself!). More than 45 restaurants, breweries, wineries, and distilleries will be on site sampling their creations.

There can only really be one event to mention this week. Car collectors and aficionados alike know where to be!
Barrett-Jackson, the premier car show is here for its annual auction. Thousands of classic cars, motorcycles, boats, and collector items are available for bidding.
The bidding began on January 12th and runs through Sunday, January 20th. This is the largest car auction of all of the Barrett-Jackson events.
Adult tickets range from $25-80 for a single day and $195 for the event 9 days.
